We're back home after a relaxing 2 week holiday in Palm Springs. We went down with Jim (Harv's brother) and Irene and stayed at the Oasis Resort.
There's the obligatory pool time of course, soaking up the sun, reading, playing games and swimming. We walked every day and rode our bikes through the surrounding area.
We spent a day in Joshua Tree Park (I'll post more pictures of the Park another day)
and had some great meals at several of Palm Springs great restaurants. The highlight was a fabulous meal at Cafe Italia where the servers entertain the diners with Broadway favourites. (Can you spot my friend Anneliese from MGCC?)
At the end of the evening there, our Argentinian waitress had us in tears with her heartfelt rendition of "Don't Cry for Me Argentina".
It was a great holiday - the best part being that we could share it with family and friends.

Sounds like a fabulous time! We have been to Palm Springs so many times...and have yet to do the aerial tram (next time!). And before we go down for our next vacation...I will come back here to jot down the name of that Italian eatery. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like a fantastic time.
We also went to Joshua national Park. I was blown away. We can compare notes on our adventure.
I want to know the name of that Italian restaurant. I'm going back just for that.
The restaurant was called Cafe' Italia and was in Indian Wells on the 111 Hwy. at Stoplight 68. (Did you know that all the stoplights are numbered on the 111? Great Idea!)
Marg - I had to smile when you said you were blown away by Joshua Tree Park. Well, we WERE literally "Blown Away" by the very high winds while in the park. The winds reached 80 mph in Palm Springs that day and snapped all the power poles on Vista Chino. It was quite the day.
Such a great looking holiday Bev. . glad to have you home though .. back to cooking for us. .smile. I smiled when I saw that you actually still were working on the blog recipes while you were relaxing.
Where we at the same place? You guys did so much more than we did!
It was so much fun to meet up with you. I think this will become a tradition and it's not just because we have friends in common, any more.
Sounds like a perfect vacation... beauty of God's nature and beauty of God's people !
I had to come over for a look when I saw your comment on my last post. I'm writing from chilly and damp Moncton tonight, so thoroughly enjoyed the photos of a hot, dry place!
