A Dominican Holiday

Harv and I just returned from 2 weeks in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  As I mentioned back in August, Harv and I celebrated our 40th anniversary this year and thought a tropical holiday would be a good way to mark this milestone.

We stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe – an all inclusive resort.  This was the first time we’ve done this kind of a vacation and found it to be relaxing and very enjoyable.

Here are a few pictures to tantalize you, who have had to endure the cold, snow and rains of a November on the west coast of Canada.

A warm ocean to swim in and a gorgeous long beach to walk along. The white sand was silky soft.

Time to soak up some sun, read and relax.

Our room was the one with the open door on the second level.

I’ll share a few more pictures in the next couple of posts.

Sure is beautiful. We were there 2 years ago for Alina and Johnnie's wedding - lots of fun, gorgeous scenery, great history. Hoping you got to take all that in too!
