I went out in the yard today looking for Spring.
Sky blue, sun bright, birds on the wing;
Tentative leaves their promise still furled,
Sedum's small cups, bright green, tightly curled.Green shoots emerging from deadwood so grey
Bright Iris surprising, in full bloom today.Peonies poking red spikes through the sod

Bev - what a lovely expression of the gift of spring.
Irises already...that is a surprise....and a lovely one.
Bev, you must be a bit more sheltered than us. . we've not seen a flower poking through here yet. Your pictures of spring are great.
Beautiful poem, Mom! The pictures are perfect... I loved the 'curled' one...sedum? That one, anyways.
Great shots Bev.
Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful reminders of spring.
Ahh the signs of spring..love the irises! And my most favorite sign of spring..robins!!
Lovely! I'm enjoying your blooms vicariously. Although we do have a few shoots in a nice sunny sheltered area. I'm inspecting them everyday!
